Dogs: They’re humans’ true friends. Our furry companions are selfless, passionate, and lovable. They know only to provide their unconditional love, without asking for anything in return (maybe a li’l belly rubs!)
Their health is equally important as our human counterparts. And to ensure they live a good, wholesome life, we must follow the 5 principles as dog parents.
- Good diet
- Lots of exercise and activities
- Annual vaccinations and health checkups, which includes routine blood, urine, and stool tests
- Daily dental cleaning
- Lots and lots of love, cuddles, and hugs daily (for me it’s every second!)
I love my two fur babies …. and often make them homemade treats. One such recipe that I’ve tried recently (and they became big fans of the same too!) — Liver Hearts!
The recipe is simple and only includes 3 ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- Liver (I used chicken liver) – 1 kg / 2.2 lbs
- Rolled oats – 1 cup
Preparation
Grind rolled oats into fine powder
Blend eggs, liver bits, and oat-flour into a blender. Make a semi-smooth paste (like Pâté)
Line baking mould with baking sheet and pour the mixture.
Bake for 15 minutes at 180 degrees.
Once it is baked, let it cool for 15 – 20 minutes.
Cut into the desired shape. I used a heart cookie cutter for my Liver Hearts!
Serve!
